What is the PSAT?
The PSAT is a reasoning test that covers math, reading, and grammar knowledge. Students often take the PSAT in 8th, 9th, and 10th grade, but the 11th grade PSAT/NMSQT is the one that counts towards National Merit qualification.
Test Overview
Section 1 - Reading - 47 Questions in 60 minutes
Section 2 - Writing and Lang - 44 Questions in 35 minutes
Section 3 - Math (No Calc) - 17 Questions in 25 minutes
Section 4 - Math (Calc) - 31 Questions in 45 minutes
